Mitre Peak rising above the still water of Milford Sound

Our story

Named for the peak that guards Milford Sound.

We began with a simple idea: to cook the way this landscape feels — honest, dramatic and deeply seasonal. Our menu changes with the weather rolling in off the Alps, and every plate is built from ingredients sourced within a day's drive.

From the Sound
Blue cod, crayfish and pāua landed along the Fiordland coast.
From the High Country
Merino lamb, wild venison and alpine herbs from Otago farms.
From the Valleys
A cellar built around Gibbston, Bannockburn and Wānaka pinot.
